At the age of 7, when a teacher asked what she wanted to be when she grew up , she wrote down 'artist'. Perhaps it was from watching her father design and build furniture or her mother's knack for interior decorating that inspired her, but from the youngest age she knew she would be doing something creative.
Having started her career as a graphic artist back in the early 90s , Kelly quickly realized a desk job was not for her and ventured from Canada's east coast to bustling Toronto to begin her career in fashion. Working her way through a buying office for a national clothier where she was responsible for many of the photoshoots and overseeing the design department , Kelly continued on to Canada's top commercial photography studio , Westside studio to become their in house prop and wardrobe stylist. For 3 years she worked with Canada's best advertising shooters, working on international campaigns for companies such as Coca Cola, Lexus, McDonalds to name just a few.
Since 2002, Kelly has made a name for herself working and living in both Vancouver and Toronto. She has expanded and diversified over the years into many areas of design, including home and business interiors, corporate events and television, most recently Production Designer on The Amazing Race Canada. Always energetic, with a keen sense of design and style, she is a quick thinker and problem solver. She has built store aisles and offices for a major department store in an abandoned warehouse, built 3 dimensional sculptures out of vinyl, and produced winter themed events on Whistler mountain. Kelly loves diversifying and no job is too small or too large for her to take on.
